Nobody Wants This creator reveals that season 1 almost had a much sadder ending

Erin Foster, creator of the original rom-com series Nobody Wants This, explained on a much sadder note how Season 1 almost ended.

While true crime and murder mysteries have dominated Netflix’s charts thanks to Monsters Season 2 and The Perfect Couple, the new 10-episode rom-com show Nobody Wants This has taken over the top spot.

Starring Kristen Bell and Adam Brody, the season follows the do/don’t relationship between sex podcaster Joanne and Rabbi Noah.

Although Nobody Wants This ended with a traditional hug after the couple went through a series of ups and downs, Foster sat down with TVLine and explained how she came up with three different endings, including Joanne asking, “Well. , how is this going to work?” before it went black.

She added: “One is she gets off the bus and he’s just standing there [and the other] he says, “It’s you and me.” We just played with different levels, and we all voted and ended up where we are now.

The hope that Joanne and Noah will reunite despite being from different worlds is one of the reasons why so many fans want a second season of the series.

Unfortunately, the streaming service hasn’t officially ordered another round of Nobody Wants This, but Foster will be armed and ready with a new idea when they come knocking.

“I just want to pick up where we left off,” Foster said. “We took Season 1 very slowly in their relationship. We didn’t move too fast, and I think it turned out really well, and so I want to be able to continue that into a possible season 2 and not move too fast.

The show’s creator isn’t the only one who wants to see Joanne and Noah’s future together, as fans have expressed their desire to see more of the series.

“I actually need everyone to watch Nobody Wants This on Netflix because I NEED it to be renewed for season 2!!!” One fan posted on X/Twitter.

And another wrote: “I just finished Nobody Wants This season 1… spectacular, now give me fourteen more.”
