NCAA Football: San Diego State in California
USATSI

CBS Sports Network’s coverage of the 2023 college football season continues in Week 5 with three games scheduled, all kicking off during a busy Saturday. Buffalo and UConn will square off in an interesting non-conference game at noon.

The game is intriguing as both teams are coming off huge wins. Not to be outdone, UConn defeated FAU 48-14 for its first victory against an FBS opponent this year, and its largest margin of victory in such a situation since defeating Memphis 45-10 on December 7, 2013. Buffalo No 23 Northern Illinois College Football Playoff hopes for a 23-20 win.

In another non-conference dispute, San Diego State is trying to right the ship as it sails toward Central Michigan. The Aztecs are 0-2 since winning their season opener against Texas A&M-Commerce, but had a bye week to bounce back in Week 4.

Wyoming and Air Force will begin Mountain West Conference play in Laramie at 8 p.m.

CBS Sports Network will be with you every step of the way once Week 5 games begin. In the meantime, stay tuned by viewing information, storylines, betting odds and more for every match.

This matchup has certainly lost a lot of its luster. Both Air Force and Wyoming were viewed as preseason dark horses in a loaded Mountain West Conference, but a combined 1-6 record between the two programs points the arrow in a different direction. Neither transgression has set the world on fire yet. Wyoming hasn’t scored more than 17 points in a single game, while Air Force has scored just 10 points in two games against FBS competition. If nothing else, this could be a good match – for both teams, actually.
